Guess the Lyrics

I think I am having so much trouble recognizing any of these songs because they tend to be a little out of the music genre I usually listen to.

I was really intriqued by a couple of lyrics Kiwi posted, so I did a little research (and a little song "borrowing"). Kiwi's first song is World Without Tears by Lucinda Williams. Wow, that has to be the best "I've got the blues" type of song I've ever heard. I wanted to start crying just listening to it and I was feeling rather perky this morning. :D Thanks for sharing Kiwi.

Bighorn rams last one is Chris Ledoux, I believe. Not sure which song. Theres something about a Chris Ledoux song; the rodeo, the feeling of the west he knows what to sing about.

TT,

Half a stoogie for you. Chris Ledoux is right, need to guess the song. Hint: It's a slow sappy one. Not one of my favorites, but I love the line.

This one is pretty hard, but if you have the cd you'll know it...
Remeber its Tim McGraw.
Hint #2 the song is on his new cd.

"Gotta crawl before you walk boy"
"Walk before you run"

You guys rock!! Thanks for playing

In the day we sweat out on the streets of a runaway American dream. At night we ride the mansions of glory in suicide machines...

"Well done Mo" shes an awesome singer, her last three albums are outstanding,
next is "auld main drag" by the pogues best known for "fairytale of New York"
and
"cleaning windows" by Van Morrison.
bottle of chilled gewurztraminer in the mail mo :D

Atta baby Ridge! :)

Back when I was in school that's ALL we listened to (Southern Rock)...Molly Hatchet, .38 Special, Skynard, Tucker, Allman Bros. etc.

Most the "stuff" nowadays I can't even understand the lyrics to, if I can even hear them over the bass that is ....ahhhh, to be young again

RR,

Half a stoogie. "24 Hours at a Time" by Marshall Tucker. My all time favorite band. I like all the other bands Marv mentioned as well. We must be of similar vintage!

OL I heard that song only once when I was listening to the country station to try to hear the HuntTalk commercial. It is so cool! Now I've got to go track that thing down like I did Kiwi's.

Kiwi, have I ever mentioned I am partial to gewurztraminer or are you just psychic?

Erik it's been awhile but "Born to Run" by Springsteen right?

Ok do y'all give up on my song??? I told ya it was tough unless you have the CD. I tihnk I'll give you one more clue... its after the tenth track. hump
