Got skunked on opener, but managed this young ruffy tonight.

A 50 minute limit on opener. Could have been done in 20 as we got the first two on a 'delayed double' out of a covey of like 8 of them. Left the remainder in nearby trees because we were only like 1/3 mile from the truck.

Worked much harder for a limit yesterday. Moisture is at a premium right now in N CO, so they seem to be very clustered around seeps and springs, even moreso than normal.

Brother and I both bagged. I took the 22lr and took them if they didn't flush or if they tree'd. He shot them on the wing. He used my 22 for one of his birds.

Recently I moved to Montana. Since I moved here after the elk tag deadline, and won't be a bonafide resident until after the season, I decided to explore some other opportunities this state offers. Therefore, today I shot my first grouse, along with 2 more. Judging by the size and habitat they, I'm pretty sure I have one ruffed and 2 duskys. (If anyone objects, please tell me their thoughts)
