Glass vs walk/road hunt

I like to wander around for miles, glassing from time to time (usually 30-45 minutes at a time), realize im about 4 ridges to deep to pack out a bull alone, then shoot a raghorn anyways and hate my life... this pretty much describes every year

I’m still new to western hunting and have tried the glassing method on two hunts. Both times I reverted back to how I hunt deer at home still hunting or sitting on feeding/transition areas and started finding animals.

That’s not a knock against glassing, it just means I don’t know what the hell I’m doing yet.

Have you been successful? if so it works for you if you ever stumble across the perfect spot where you can find game enjoy it, it won't last forever. Years ago I "found the spot" hunted it for about 3years would only see one other guy during bow season. Now like I said before, bring your on rock the last time I was there.
