Agreed and I would push it further, it would be great to see a united front from industry and "influencers" denouncing this crap...

My IG reels are littered with poaching "joke" reels. The lack of condemnations and continuous "jokes" about poaching are helping normalize this crap. More and more people want to shoot big things and post them for clout and I feel like the end justifies the means for a lot of those poachers...

Other problem is you can’t squeeze blood out of a rock. Some of these people may be flat broke and it could take a organization 10 years to recoup the 5k.

Buddy, imagine if we had an OIL lottery for people who turn in poachers?!?!

Arizona just got rid of their auction tags. It might do more for wildlife overall if we had big incentives for turning in poachers than for the big auction $ they were getting.

An entry into a OIL lottery sounds like a great idea to me.

That's an awful lot of money to be lost on a resource that isn't a given to increase to replace what was lost.

This is where "and/or prison" sentences need to be available and utilized.

Fines often dont work but confiscating equipment used in the hunt and pulling thr ability to buy a license for years often as an impact.
