Damn. I'm 73, by the time it produces fruit I will have forgotten what they are. Oh well, they are cheap in the store,,,

That is correct. It might take 10 to 15 years for the tree to produce fruit. Same with mangos. Most fruit trees are grafted trees. You want good rootstock. Same is true of citrus trees.

More like 10-15 years, if youre lucky.

Ive never heard that. With guacs, it helps if you have two different varieties, a type A & Type B. I have a Lula and an Ora De Negro.
