I was wondering how these fires are gonna effect the water shed running into the salt river lakes. I know it won't be for a while but all this silt and ash running into Roosevelt has got to be bad. Near as I can figure thats 400 sq. miles of Salt river water shed. What are ya'lls thoughts?

it will probally affect it a bit, I say a bit cause it will have to run through 50 miles of the earths filtering system before it hits roosevelt lake....

Theres nothing wrong with a little ash and silt.. I was in washington when St. helens blew the lid and i have seen tons of ash... it was 4" deep in yakima washington...

I think it would affect it somewhat, but I don't think it will bother it too much. We came west the year after the Yellowstone fires and the fishing was fine.

Nature is far more resiliant than a lot of whiny Bio's and a few on these boards would have you belive... :D
