why argue about how it got here, should be figuring out how to reallistically solve it.

I don't disagree; but because of ridiculous politics, both sides will be fighting about how it got here instead of solving it. Of course the smart thing (take the high road) would be to solve the damn problem and provide the solution - the first one to the finish line gets the party.
