These are simple to make, reliable, and last almost forever. I never go afield without a couple in my pocket.
Needed:
News Paper
Strike Anywhere Matches
Parafin
Tear the newspaper into strips about 1/2" wider than the Stike Anywhere wooden matches and about 6" long.
Place two matches on the strip, heads at each end.
Roll
Fold the ends.
Dip in molten Parafin. Dry.
When needed, just cut the paper off one end below the head and strike. The paper & Parafin act as tinder and will burn for a couple of minutes.
"Keep the campfire burning"
