Dry field ducks

Hell of a morning with 4 newbie waterfowl hunters. The ducks wnated in bad and with better shooting we would have limited but oh well 36 ducks and 20 geese. Honestly one of the best ducks shoots and working decoys I have had in my life so they got spoiled this morning The pup is going to have 100 birds retrieved by the time the weekend is over this fall

October they get coloured up. Hard to pick drakes at this time of year

Goose season is open here (ducks open on the tenth). I won't bother with waterfowl till maybe the end of the month. Too warm and too many bugs. Still busy turning last year's goose meat into jerky.

Late season green heads in the field is my favourite. Picking out those big drakes and they are nice to pluck then too
