Dam!!

I used this beaver dam to cross a creek I would have otherwise had to wade this weekend to get to a deer I shot. Who else has used a beaver dam as a bridge?

This one was actually the finest engineered beaver dam I have crossed. I have gotten wet on a few.

BTW - did anyone suspect I had misspelled, “Damn” in the thread title?

Used them several times duck hunting. I'm jealous of that clear water though, we have only tonic water that's thicker than tea.

Who needs a Duke 330? I counted coup on a beaver with the barrel of my 300 RUM on the backside of this ridge a few years ago. I was between it and its pond, and it was not going to stray from the trail back to the pond.

Required disclosure: No beaver was harmed.
