Bull Elk Between Christmas and New Years.

I am new to the elk game and am just beginning to explore options. Is there any place where one can hunt bull elk between Christmas and New Year's Day? I have seen places where cow tags can be obtained for this time frame, but would like to look for a bull if possible. Vacation restrictions at work limit what time I can take off, so I automatically look for hunting during the holidays.

Welcome to the Forum! I’m pretty sure they are all cow hunts by that time of year if your going into this with no skin in the points game. For what it’s worth a cow hunt is a great way to cut your teeth on elk. They definitely put me in my place this last year. I did get lucky on a bull but this year I only put in for a reduced price cow tag. Just as much fun and you can’t eat the horns.
