Blue Grouse Hunting Around Steamboat Springs?

My brother (brand new hunter) and I were going to hunt grouse in the Sierra Madres Labor Day weekend. He lives in Steamboat Springs, and I live in Cheyenne. Our plans changed when my wife decided she needed to go to Craig for the weekend and now we'll be hunting in CO. Anyone know where we should go to get into some grouse near Steamboat Springs? My thought is to go north between the Midnight Ranch and the WY border, but if there are better places I'm all ears. I know nothing of CO. I do have a dog.

I realize my response is way too late to matter, but for future reference, I have come across a decent number of grouse north of Craig along trail 1144 north of Black Mountain.
