Black Bear height ?

I am in the process of getting a new reticle put in a fixed 4x Leupold scope and I am toying with the idea of getting some range estimating lines added. One of the main uses for this scope will be on the rifle that I hunt bear with. Does anyone know what the average black bear hieght is? I have heard that it is around 2ft? While were at it due you have any idea of average mule deer height ground to shoulder I have always heard about 3ft?
