These were shot using a Canon 500mm f/4 II w/1.4x and with a crop so essentially a 1120mm lens.

That 500 is a nice lens. I rented a 400 2.8 once, that thing was a beast. Wish I had that with a 1Dx body or my 7D Mkii.
