Pneumonia Found In Bighorn Sheep In Little Belt Mountains | Montana FWP

Nine bighorn sheep from a group that were recently reintroduced into the Little Belt Mountains have died from pneumonia this spring.

Sounds like two of the ewes that were relocated had pneumonia. I would think that there was some way to get test results before relocation, but I guess not.

Saw that wonder if it isn’t in the breaks herd? Plenty of places in Montana for sheep no where near the breaks. I grew up on a ranch and question unless you have leafy spurge why anyone would have them.
