Will be in Colorado in a few weeks hunting the back country. In Florida, NOAA is the go-to for offshore weather forecasts and I also use a couple of other resources in combination to reach an educated consensus (intellicast and windfinder primarily).
Understanding that forecasts are what they are (educated guesses) can someone point me in the right direction for mountain data? I checked NOAA and found the resource below. Is there something better out there that I should be aware of? Also, how accurate are these forecasts typically? When we go offshore fishing, we dont give forecasts much credence until 72 hours out, and then make our final plans based off of the 48 or 24 hour forecasts. However, depending on the time of year, you can usually get a very good idea of what to expect 5 days out.
