There seems to be a wide variety of knowledgeable and people in the know about how areas are managed on here, so instead of actually asking a forestry manager in the area I am putting a question up here. I had a chance to drive over Togwotee Pass and Dubois, WY last weekend. The beetle kill was pretty horrendous and now there is a ton of standing dead timber there it looks like. It seems like there has been more of an effort to thin out certain stands of timber, even in Grand Teton NP, so I was wondering if something is in the works for that Dubois area. To my uneducated eye it looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
