I took the hounds out again today and was once again lucky enough to get one of those magical rigs on bear and have the hounds push that bear to the tree. It was a deep canyon and a long day, from 4:00 AM and got the hounds unloaded around 5:00 PM.........getting too old for that crap! hump
On the way out, I had the box blow up on a "there is the bear rig DAD." It was around 4:00 PM and I'd already called my wife telling her I was headed in. I stopped, got the video camera out and just video taped the hounds on the truck. Now I did think really hard about sending them but I knew my butt would be in hot water...........
I got back in the truck and didn't drive three hundred yards and found a car with about four tents staked out, so I pulled in and told those people there was a bear near their camp. They thanked me and I drove home--could have been a two bear day but I might have had to spend the night in my truck ha!
