Bear burners for back country

Thinking of getting a lightweight electric fence for grzzly deterrent on back pack hunts.
Not sure I trust the shock factor of a battery powered fence.
Anyone have experience with a set up for bivy camps in back country with the big fuzzy brown critters?

The extra weight alone has me wondering if it's worth it. But if the wap is inadequate for bears then I guess it'll be me and the old shotgun at night.

Anyone give an electric fence like this a good grab and hold test? I sure know the power of the standard fences around the house. But they all run on house hold 110/120 volt.

Not sure if a good one can be had at decent price either.
Any advise or info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Have taken one for the horses but never put one around tent. Even in the thoroughfare.
Can't justify the weight for backpacking in my mind.

Most of my backpacking, recreational and hunting, is in grizzly habitat. Unless predatory behavior is known of local individuals, there's no way I'd take the weight. I see why people do it in certain circumstances, I just feel the risk is the cost of doing business on a backpack hunt. Other mitigation strategies don't weigh pounds.
I have been involved in electric net fencing using solar panels for grizzly predation on livestock. It can be effective depending on terrain and circumstance. I have seen them dig around the fences pretty extensively. If they're familiar with the fences it becomes a lot less effective. Presumably in a backcountry situation they would not be familiar with the tent-perimeter style set-up.

Also, beware of ground out in tall veg. There are places in MT/WY/ID I could see using one if packing in a basecamp on your back. I tend to move camp often on bp hunts, but others may not.

After lots of thought, I can't see me using one. Likely won't camp in a spot more than a night or two before moving on. That would keep the scent of any attract down to a minimum.

Might use around my base camp. I worry about a curious bear visiting camp while I'm out back packing for to or three days.
