Thinking of getting a lightweight electric fence for grzzly deterrent on back pack hunts.
Not sure I trust the shock factor of a battery powered fence.
Anyone have experience with a set up for bivy camps in back country with the big fuzzy brown critters?
The extra weight alone has me wondering if it's worth it. But if the wap is inadequate for bears then I guess it'll be me and the old shotgun at night.
Anyone give an electric fence like this a good grab and hold test? I sure know the power of the standard fences around the house. But they all run on house hold 110/120 volt.
Not sure if a good one can be had at decent price either.
Any advise or info would be appreciated.
Thanks.
