Arkansas black bear

Anyone here ever bear hunted in northwest Arkansas any tips for public land?

Public land is tough in NWA. You can't bait and unless you are in the area enough to figure out where they are feeding, I think it may be prohibitively difficult. That said, you can use deer season to do some scouting and maybe be lucky enough to catch some sign and possibly even sight them. I would probably combine a deer/bear hunt and hope for the best.

That's kinda the plan to deer hunt and hope we get lucky and find one it's a back up hunt to an otc Colorado elk
