Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission at March 4, 5 meeting to vote on Center for Biological Diversity petition to eliminate sales of fur statewide. Basically a repeat of the failed voter referendum in Denver during the November 2024 election.

Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Management is trying to rally Colorado sportsmen and women to defeat this petition. Email the commission and/or attend the commission meeting in-person if able. Sign up to provide in person or virtual comment against the fur ban petition.

I saw HOWL, RMEF, BHA, and RMBS all have action alerts out to members. Maybe more. Spread the word.

I'll be there.

As a group, we have to declare our value to the commission, and by extension, the rest of the state government. We are the advocates; we care more about natural resources than those who want to ban fur sales, ban hunting, and eliminate sportsman as a group.

These are the days to take off work for something that matters. It won't stop at fur sales if we don't show up.

So you don't have to click the link:

The BEST Way You Can Take Action: Attend the March 4th-5th CPW Commission Meeting!

WHEN: March 4th – Be there early (6:30-7am) and plan for all day!
WHAT: Fur ban (petition) and Furbearer management.
ACTION: Sign up in-person for public comment

WHEN: March 5th – Be there early (6:30-7am)
WHAT: Wolf Management & SB26-003 Implementation (semi-auto weapons permitting)
ACTION: Sign up in-person for public comment

WHERE: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Denver – Westminster
Address: 8773 Yates Dr. Westminster, CO 80031

We highly recommend that you attend both days of the meetings!

Do plan to get there early. The auditorium will reach capacity early, and the anti-hunting groups are also planning to pack the house. Even if you can't get in, your presence at the hotel, hotel restaurant, parking lot, where ever is still helpful.

Are here it is, we knew it all along. Samantha Miller of Center for Biological Diversity passing along the support they receive directly from the Governor’s office in their citizen petition fur ban.

I think they have underestimated Colorado sportsmen and women.

Are they going to eliminate leather? Though I’ll fully admit, and my wife will attest, to not being incredibly bright, I’m pretty sure leather is just fur without the fur.
Don’t underestimate these morons that run this state. They have a super majority and impose their dumbass will upon us every chance they get. There’s people on this board that voted these clowns in then bitch about hunting and gun rights going away.

Written comments submitted last week. In addition, CPW has identified that the furbearer bag limit proposal is at the behest of the Governor. Quote from the paper, "The bag limit regulations proposed in this issue paper are a priority of the Governor’s Office."

Governor should stay out of CPW rule-making. Furbearer harvest limits shouldn’t be a “priority” for his office.

Wish he would make better roads and schools, less government regulation, and rising housing costs a “priority”.

Huge thanks to Big Fin and the Fresh Tracks team for using their media to get the word out. Hoping for a big showing this week.
