Hi all,
A buddy and I are headed out next Fall, to hunt in Wyoming. (This will be our second time hunting elk. We hunted in SW Colorado a couple of years ago and were lucky enough to kill one elk between the two of us).We'll be going during October, looking for cows only. We've got our eyes on the area around Casper, but are having a hard time narrowing it down to one unit (all seem to have upsides and downsides). We're looking at 23, 19, 7 and 16. We will not have any access to private land, other than HMA's. We will not have ATV's, but we are hikers and have no trouble walking a few miles to access more remote areas. If successful, we expect to pack it out on our backs. For those of you who are familiar with these units, any thoughts on which one we should pick? I'd appreciate any advice you might have. Thank you!
