Yesterday was a nice day to take a few guns into the field and shoot some gophers. The little ones have emerged and offer some challenging shots. I had a 17 CCM and 17 Hornet...

You got that right! I passed on a blue fluted barrel after I already had this, I should have gotten it anyhow. Why they use nice wood and continue stainless barrels is beyond me. They shoot so good, I deal with it…

Back in the early 70's a buddy of mine had a 700 in 264 Win Mag. They used some kind of blacking to hide the stainless and it didn't look bad!
