Stevens 200 in 7mm-08AI here.
Love the round/gun. I put about 900+ rounds a year out of it. Mostly at the range at 300+ yards.
Hoping to rebarrel it this year. And yes, I will probably chamber it to the 7mm-08AI again, even though I usually recommend not to do the AI treatment to the 308 family of cartridges.

Just think how many 308s will be sold once the 7-08 crowd figures out its even better.

Funny you say this I have been going between the two for months and bit on the 30 cal on the 308 last week. Excited to try it out soon.

I've had an a-bolt and 700 mountain role in 7mm-08 never shot the mountain rifle but the browning is one of those I wish I still have. Never shot anything bigger than deer with it but inside of 350 yards I can't think of any caliber that will do it better. The performance to recoil is great. One of the few big game cartridges that I can shoot a couple boxes in one trip to the range. I have a Competitor Pistol in 7-08 and it performs well also. About the only downside I've found with the round is it doesn't cause the massive hemmorrhaging that the super mags do if you shoot them in the foot.
