3 for 3 by nine.....

I originally figured I would post a message about "What happened to Moosie", but then I found out and now I would like to offer my condolences to the whole Moosie family.

Now on to the story, opening morning had us headed to the roosting area for the turkeys we had been scouting. We pulled in and headed for the ricket old foot bridge to get across the creek. Part way there we heard shots and watched as several turkeys came flying off the hill down to the far end of the meadow we were in. Unfortunate that we had been beaten to the spot but fortunate we were still down in the meadow.
We headed to were we had seen them land and were able to get in close enough to get two. :D After shooting the two, the turkeys headed back up the hill toward were they had been roosting. We were able to work back up to them and get another one. :D We were back at the truck by nine with big grins from a great hunt. :D
We'll get Moosie one soon too, I tied a couple to trees before we left.
A special thanks the the landowners that were gracious enough to allow us permission to hunt there property bordering the Boise National Forest. ;)
