My dad won a .257wby at a MDF banquet last week. I know nothing about Weatherby calibers, he was looking to just buy some factory ammo to use on deer and antelope. Anyone have some recommendations?

I’d try to find the Weatherby factory loaded 100gr Barnes TTSX ammo. If not then theNosler loaded 110gr accubonds is what I’d start with.

I bought dies and brass and build my own. It's a whole bunch cheaper.. and more consistent.

Mine shoots both the Weatherby 100 grain TSX and 110 grain Accubond factory loads very well, the problem is they are like $75-$85 a box. Their cheaper 100 grain Norma spire point which costs about $45/box shot pretty good too.

The only other factory load I tried was the Sierra bullet, (I forget the weight) abut my rifle didn't care for it.

I think Hornady makes some factory loads but I have never seen them on a shelf anywhere.

It is a cartridge that makes a lot of sense to reload for at least if you shoot more than a box or two a year.
