This gun was not supposed to be for sale, but a recent purchase necessitates it. It is a great example of the early trapdoor rifles. The bore is bright and rifling is sharp. There is no rust or pitting anywhere. The wood is great with no cracks or issues. The cartouche is very visible and proof marks on the barrel as well. It has the grip knob added as was done in those days. The mechanical aspects of the rifle are crisp and tight. This is really a nice original trapdoor and the more desirable 1873 version. This is an antique and can be shipped direct without an FFL...$999.00
