Is chasing Wyoming permits worth it?
Jealous? Dont really see that. Honestly see high point holders complaining more than people just starting out. When they had ample opportunity to get out in the field.- hunter49

2026 Idaho Nonresident Deer & Elk
^ Hoping end of today. Give people something to be excited about to open the new year. And then open up the purchase period on Monday the 5th through the 20th. Edit to add. A guy can dream. Probably won't be till the 7th -
New year's eve dinner.
Made elk burger/ antelope Italian sausage meatballs, covered with old west barbaque with a side of fridge pickles. Paired with cottage cheese and fresh pineapple.- hunter49

Giving my first rifle a makeover
Agree with above. If you due all that. It's a completely different rifle. What's the point. Wish I could get my first shotgun back. Tried for years, still pissed about that one. -
Montana 2026 Elk Proposal
Gotta say. I have followed gfp meetings for awhile with season structure/dates in a couple of states. This is my first look in Montanas process. It's like someone said what's the hardest way we can due something and Montanas like "hold my beer". -

What are you currently reading?
Just finished Ready player one. On audible. Just got back from a hunt and got hooked on the road. If you were a teenager in the 80s, or any sort of game nerd think it would be worth a listen/hear. I'm neither and still think it's the best I've heard in a while.- hunter49

Ever walk past an elk that was watching you?
This one still stings to this day but was a good learning lesson. Had a spot on the prairie I could take my Dad with when I went out spot and stalk, and he could sit on a knob and watch the valley below from the truck with binos.
