    Ha, well, if I have to trade elk and mule deer for walleye, squirrels and turkeys that might not be so bad (and maybe a trip back to the mountains for the rut). Just need to get out in the woods one way or another.

    I do, but my experience is limited to trout streams. Can you fish year-round? I hear that lake is pretty big. I was looking into leases, and never having done one before, do you have a recommendation for a website/broker that lists those you like to use?

    Workout shoes

    I've liked the Altra Timp, been pretty durable so far on lots of rocky trails. They have a big toebox which helps my toes spread out, feels more stable outside, and 0 drop. I have brooks as well, but they feel a little unstable to me with the huge heel cushion putting you up high.

    I've been a fan of the Springbars out of SLC. Hot water nalgene in the sleeping bag + buddy heater (outside of the sleeping bag) does pretty well down to 0 for us.

    I've had trouble with Stealth Cams (poor photo quality, don't always recognize the card). My Browning is more expensive but worth it.

    How are they for security? I get you could probably cut into it with a knife, but can you see the stuff stored in the back? Wondering how safe it is while in the grocery store parking lot.

    Absolutely get the flip up side windows, I use mine all the time. Forgot if you mentioned what truck you have, but I'm 5'9" and have no problem reaching through them on a tacoma with a 3" lift. Roof top tents are nice, they give you the space in the back for gear but then it takes another 15...

    A little help in CO

    I carry an umbrella with me to shade the meat as I process in the field, so few trees out in their habitat and seems to help with keeping it cool.
