Bear hunting magazine podcasts by Clay Newcomb are a great source of information. But from what I've researched, look for mast crop and concentration of bear sign. Look for small breaks in thick cover.- clint0481

Black Bear in Canada Spring, or Fall
I've got a couple of buddies that live in Saskatchewan that have been trying to get me to come bear hunt with them. I know the "pandemic" made access a lot harder. Has that stuff changed? I would love to go up there next spring.- clint0481

NM elks...
I went to New Mexico last December on my first ever elk hunt. Cows only, but it was still an amazing experience! Can't wait to get to go after a bull. -
Montana Trophy Mule Deer
Haven't gotten to go after mule deer yet, but I saw a ton of them in New Mexico last winter! They're on my top 5 list though, so one day soon hopefully. -

Virginia Black Bears
I went once in 2020 with a cheap "outfitter" and had zero luck. This year I'm going back down by myself. I will be stationed in Scott county with some friends. They have 30 acres that I can hunt, but I just don't know if that's enough area to have a likelyhood of seeing bears. Any advice? I know...- clint0481
