***Rifle Only - Scope/Rings Not Included***
Great groupings out of 140 ELDMs/143 ELDXs/147 ELDMs, just gathering dust in my safe, details below:
- Bought new in early 2022, has basically sat in safe since, factory new condition
- Round count: 44 (147gr ELD-M)
- 24” barrel
- 1x Factory 10rd mag...
Thanks @elkythoughts
It's definitely a different game down here. I had to put away high power optics because the vegetation is so thick you're not shooting further than 80-100yds unless it's an ag field of some kind. You're either going in on a group lease or fighting a parade of orange on...
@Dave30-06 I have a few family members that lived in N. Minnesota where the mosquitoes were thick like nothing I've ever seen outside of Alabama swamp country. Thanks for the welcome note!
The kind welcome is much appreciated, I only listed the generic terrain I'm used to looking for during map recons. I've never hunted flats outside of some private land in NE CO.
I've still got time on my side for the long haul, so while I'm not chasing goats, sheep, or bear, deer and elk is still worth the effort for me. If it doesn't happen in '23, it won't break my heart. Right now I'm focused on just getting a foot in the door and figuring out which units are...
I looked at a couple of YouTube videos for it, has a lot more than I expected. Definitely will take some slack out of the planning for me. Thanks again @Redman
No horses or mules, just leather-wrapped 2 wheel drive and a positive attitude

I'll pick up a membership when I get back stateside, I didn't realize it was more than a general mapping software with plot data - thanks for the heads up @Redman
Thanks for the input @nontyp - Understood, I was planning on picking up a membership to gohunt or similar when I get back to the states. I'll add that I'm not looking for anyone to tell me where to apply specifically, just a regional orientation and a hair of guidance vs what I see when looking...
@np307 rumor has it that might could be where unicorns live, winning lottery tickets are sold, and the peaks have escalators built into the ridgelines 😉
That is actually a fairly sound theory.
Thank you for the feedback @WyoDoug I appreciate it. I'm not a moose guy either. This might be subjective - but what do you consider to be the 'high country' areas? I'm basically looking at the units around Bighorn Mtns and then basically everything from...
Much appreciated @mrcowboy - I downloaded the '22 numbers and couldn't figure out what the repeat units were on the listing, does that represent the different subsections (A, B, C)? I'll look around for the '23 allocations, thank you for the tip (y)
