    Finished my Sauer 7-08

Great to hear about the interlock. For $29 a box it sure would be nice to use them for everything! I was looking at choice ammo and considering ordering the 140 partition and 139 LRX to try. I was also going to try and call Steve at Hammer to see he knows anyone loading the 131's. Sticking with...

    Finished my Sauer 7-08

Thanks! I'm surprised about the accubonds as well. Heard really good things about them in the 7-08.

    Finished my Sauer 7-08

Thank! I sure wish they had the 131's. Looks like my twist rate is a bit slow for the 141.

    Finished my Sauer 7-08

I agree it is likely good for 99% of the time. I've only shot a few critters past 300 yards, but most of those were antelope/deer. When you toss in some wind and shooter error a 4.5" - 6" group at 300 - 400 yards is a bit much for my liking. I may not have a choice if I want to use ttsx though.

    Finished my Sauer 7-08

Thanks everyone. It’s a joy to shoot with the suppressor, but I’m struggling to find a factory ammo it really likes. Wanted to shoot ttsx, but it’s around 1.5 MOA with a 10 shot group. Accubond and ELDX are 2 MOA! American whitetail is surprisingly the best at 1 MOA, but I really don’t want to...

    Finished my Sauer 7-08

Just finished up my Sauer 100. Sent it off to Kampfeld to be cut at 16.5" and an adapter installed. Also had him cerakote the action and barrel Elite Black. I painted the stock using the plastic adhesion promotor, primer, MTN 94 Icarus Grey, Krylon mabelizing paint and 3 coats of matte clear...

Trump Rescinds Ban on OHV use on Public Lands

That's just it! Many places already allow it. The ones that don't are special places and should remain that way.

    Montana Moose

Looks like there was one tag available this year (quota 1) in the regs. The quota range is from 1-5 which means fwp can vary the number of tags each year from 1-5 based on the population. My guess is that fwp can make changes to the tags given after the regs are published based on the...

    Montana Moose

I agree in most cases and hate unit numbers being published, but a moose unit with one tag it’s really not a big deal. Unless he kill’s a booner and publishes it everywhere I doubt odds will change.

    Montana Moose

Congrats! You will have the time of your life. I don’t have any knowledge of that unit, but if I had your schedule I would hunt every weekend and evening you can until the last week or so of September. Then take two weeks off work and hunt the end of September and early October. I had great rut...

Poll: How many OIL tags have you Drawn in the Last 20 years of Applying

Zero for me in the last 10 years. Got lucky prior to that. 2008 - MT Sheep 2009 - MT Moose 2026 - Nothing nada zilch

    MT- M/S/G results 26

I don’t remember my exact amount of points, but I drew a sheep and moose tag in consecutive years back in 2008/2009. I think it was 3 and 4 points. Odds were better then, but still very low. There’s always a chance! Please don’t hate me.
