    7mm-08 with 1:11 Twist Rate

It was a Sauer that was listed wrong apparently. After some digging it turned out to be a 1:9.5 I should have verified directly from the manufacturer and not trusted seller info. If anyone “needs” an inexpensive 6.5 creedmoor or PRC Eurooptic has them on sale for $399 and $449!!

    7mm-08 with 1:11 Twist Rate

Thank for the info! Eurooptic has it listed as 1:11 which is what I was using since the seller didn’t have twist listed. After some digging it looks like Sauer has it listed as 1:9.5 which is much better!

Haha! I was thinking they were having a hard time getting rid of the PRC! Not likely though since everyone seems to want one.

Why don't they ever have screaming deals like that on the 7mm-08!!!

    7mm-08 with 1:11 Twist Rate

I was planning on 120’s. Sounds like it may not be the gun for me. Was surprised to find out they were 1:11.

Thanks for your thoughts! I was looking at the Sauers as they get great reviews and are much cheaper than Tikka.

    7mm-08 with 1:11 Twist Rate

I am ready to pull the trigger on a 7mm-08 as it is a really good price. Only issue is it has a 1:11 twist rate. My plan is to run ttsx which shouldn't be an issue, but would like the option of using 140 accubonds as well when needed. Is the 1:11 twist rate fast enough for good accuracy from the...

    RIP Camofire

Crazy! Got myself a new merino hoodie a week or so ago. Now I’m scared to wear it as I’ll never be able to replace it. Loved their merino.

    Newest Poaching case

Etag fan here. I don’t have to remember electrical tape!! Hope all states store that data and use it to help catch as many poachers as possible.

    Torn Toenail

Just wanted to give another update in case anyone else is ever looking for info on torn toenails. Just over 3 weeks since her toenail was removed from the vet. At the three week mark it was looking pretty well healed minus most of the nail still missing. Started her on some smaller off leash...

    Torn Toenail

Thanks for the reminder on the glucosamine. We have cosequin that I forgot about. Should get her started on it again!

    Torn Toenail

I can't imagine having to deal with it all the time. Real pain especially when they are used to daily hikes. She's not a happy camper. I'll have to try the fish oil to help as a preventative, not enough to need oatmeal though

Waiting to bird hunt is a good excuse to keep chasing elk!

    Torn Toenail

Quick update. It has been 2 weeks since the torn toenail. We did have a couple little setbacks. A poop zoomie session ended up in a little bleeding and then she licked her bandage until soaking wet when we were giving her some time away from the cone. Only 1/8" or so of toenail growth back so...

    Torn Toenail

She is pretty used to booties as they get used some in the winter with crunchy conditions or if the snowballs get too bad even with mushers secret. I'll have the camera ready just in case though! Starting to dry up nicely now....finally. Just have to keep her from licking it again. She is...

Thanks! Just got a larger size that fits over the bandage. Gonna give them a try on a short walk today.

    Torn Toenail

I’ll have to give the bitter apple spray a try when we are past the cone. Thanks!

So happy to see it being put to good use!! Looks like you’re way more accurate with it than I was!

Ooooh…two TPLO surgeries sounds rough. A friend of ours had one done on our dogs litter mate. It’s a long recovery. Trazadone may have saved everyone🤣.
