    Military goretex bottoms. Mine go over my boots, price is right, and you can pool water on them when new, and they'll pack way down well. Pretty water resistant. They don't pack down as well as a thin rain pant but they are more robust

    Never had too much issue with it. All our deer come out whole, minus gut. Then get skinned and or cut up when we get the chance. I find the off flavor in venison is more due to having too much deer fat and not enough pork in the end product, but thats just me.
