Bear rugs and hides
I have been having the same hard choice with what to do with my bears. Of course I mounted my first one, and then a couple rugs, but my taxidermist told me that if I just tan the hide I have about 4 years to decide what I want to do with it yet. I’ve used several of them but my favourites would be anise, gold rush, and I have had good luck with raspberry. Eastern Black Bear Scent
Yes!! The gold rush by Northwoods Bear Products is literally gold! I mix with a little fresh fryer grease to it and you’re set. It’s worth the extra dollar and I’ve had excellent results with their products. Good luck!- BrettWindy42

Thoughts on baiting
I am all for baiting in the sense that it can be beneficial for the deer and their health/growth. I know there is down sides to baiting and health issues that come along with it as well.
