    Meat Eater Cookbook

Agree with everyone. All of Hank Shaw’s books are amazing. But, can also be more complicated if followed strictly. I sometimes go to The MeatEater’s Fish and Game Cookbook for something simpler. I’ve also enjoyed Jesse Griffith’s Afield and Michael Hunter’s Hunter Chef Cookbook.

    Air fryer recipes wanted

For wild game: skin on plucked grouse on the rotisserie. Otherwise, chicken wings and french fries are a regular go-to.

Joe Rogan podcast with Marcus Luttrell

I’d be curious what you think BRCC’s bias would be in that article, or which part of the article you think is inaccurate or not factual...and based on what.

Here’s the rest of the story (which is accurate) that took place behind the scenes once the SR team was compromised. https://coffeeordie.com/red-wings-night-stalkers/

Where to donate money for sportsman issues

Nationally, I’m a fan of BHA, TRCP, TU, and RMEF. Any one have an opinion on Sportsmen’s Alliance? I’ve heard they are pretty involved in countering anti-hunting policy and legislative efforts; most recently the attempt to ban bear hunting in CA.

    BHA’s Armed Forces Initiative

Thanks for the questions. It’s not a matter of exploiting veterans and growing membership. It’s about opportunity and knowledge for a population that already exists. The US has approximately 7% service members and veterans, based on a recent internal survey BHA has 14%. One of the biggest...

    BHA’s Armed Forces Initiative

I know there are a lot of service members and veterans here and a lot of hunters passionate about protecting and defending our ability to hunt and fish on public lands and waters. I thought you might be interested in this: This past June, BHA stood up an Armed Forces Initiative, with the goal...

Favorite quotes by outdoor writers, gun writers, conservationists, naturalists, ect.

Almost anything by Abbey. “If people persist in trespassing upon the grizzlies’ territory, we must accept the fact that the grizzlies, from time to time, will harvest a few trespassers.” “This is the most beautiful place on Earth. There are many such places. Every man, every woman, carries in...

    Fall fly fishing??

@Little Canyon Creek and @JohnCushman nailed it. Hoppers and other terrestrials will be good until a couple of freezes. There should be a few decent fall hatches (BWOs, mahoganies, and Caddis). Streamers should be good for bigger browns.
