I live in Boulder...this is an accurate statement. The drivers here are insane. I'll also say, not everyone here thinks they are a special snowflake, but there's a whole lot that do.
I agree with others. Get a manual. I have the Hornady and Berger, and reference them all the time. Not just for load data...there's actually great info in those things if you read them. I cross reference with a lot of the free stuff, too (Nosler, Hodgdon, etc.)
Same here. OnX for mapping, and GoHunt for draw odds and the filtering feature. For me, the OnX mapping and its features is top-notch. OnX appears to be getting better with their draw odds and unit profiles as well. It's becoming more and more clear to me that the only reason I still have a...
I had a similar issue, and loose action screws were the culprit. After torqueing them to spec, the rifle shot lights-out again. Quite possible you've checked that already, but if not, worth giving it a look :)
Might consider a Jumping Jack trailer/pop-up canvas tent. You'd be towing something, which might not appeal to you, but you barely feel it back there. Plus, you can take the tent out of it and use it as a utility trailer. Super easy setup and takedown. Throw a Mr. Buddy heater in there and...
The Nude Party
Maybe not new to others, but new to me. I'm about 5 years late in discovering them, as is tradition. Think "Exile on Main Street"-era Rolling Stones, mixed with Neil Young, mixed with The Beatles, mixed with a modern "indie" sound. That might sound weird, but with a name like...
Also not to derail, but if anyone is desperate for 7 RUM brass, the Scheels in Johnstown, CO has had ADG 7 RUM brass on the shelf for a couple months. Even if you don't live anywhere near there, it looks like you can change your "local store" to that location and it's available on the website...
@Mthuntr & @winmag - thanks. I think deep down I knew they were a little hot and just didn't want it to be true when I saw the group sizes shrinking. It's' funny, I'm looking at the case now in my hand and looking at the picture, and the picture might make it look a little worse...but I agree...
Sort of hard to get good pics, but here are examples of the 3 worst cases showing ejector marks/swipe. This might end up being laughable for some, but as a beginner reloader sometimes it's hard to tell what is common and what is getting near the "danger zone". Maybe I don't have a trained eye...
Thanks, I certainly need to get some velocity numbers...that data will start to tell a story, I'm sure. And, being an average shooter at best, I definitely throw my fair share of shots. I don't doubt the rifle is more capable than I am, LOL!
Thanks, another good take! Yeah, the primers looked good, and one thing I failed to mention was that there wasn't the slightest sign of a "heavy" bolt lift or anything. It sounds like what I experienced as far as a faint ejector mark/swipe may be common with new brass. I would have been a...
It sure seems nice. It was between that and ADG. I was surprised to find Lapua doesn't make 7mm Rem Mag brass, but my understanding has been Peterson and ADG are at least in the same ballpark, if not just as good. Thanks again!
