    Got lucky and drew this tag as a nonresident. Looking forward to this hunt as it sounds like it had potential. Anyone have any tips on equipment and the terrain for this area? Or any information? I would trade a guided salmon trip in WA for help.

    Great draw odds but super tough hunts unless you know the area well. I drew the NR tag for 10a-2. There was nothing easy about this hunt.

    I feel like a lot of moose hunting has luck involved, that you happen to be in the right place or at the right turn when they show themselves since the country is so big and thick. You just gotta stick with it and be in the woods.

    So far it’s been tough here too. The moose don’t seem to be moving much if any at all. Just spent 5 days hunting to not even see a moose. We spent daylight to dark in the woods. It was fun and we learned a lot again and came close one time. I’m going back for 7 days this week.
