Love this thread! Great to see so many still hunting with leverguns! It has long been my desire to hunt with a levergun in order to experience hunting the way my grandfather did a hundred years ago. Hunting camp beer let's see 'em

Best camp coffee ever!!!!
Hunting camp for me is an opportunity to enjoy but some of the things I don't typically eat at home. Among those would be things such as canned corned beef hash or Spam. Whats the best deer cartridge?
That's what I've used in the past, specifically a Marlin 1895. My 30-06 was more practical. But I like leverguns. -

Cost of reloading vs factory loads.
I'm not sure if there's much cost savings for the guy who only goes to the range once a couple of times a year or to sight in his rifle a week before hunting.
