Well had a great time hiking around the area. Found more Moose than elk and was able to get my first grouse. Unsuccessful on filling the tag but will be looking to return in November.
The tag i have goes thru November and goes from any to anterless. So worse case this is a good scouting trip to learn the area. Im not looking for Bull, a cow would be great. But all the research i've seen sounds like i'll be lucky to even see elk at this point out of wildnerness.
I drew my first tag in Wyoming for area 96. Newer to hunting. This is only my 4th Elk hunt and this is my first out of state hunt. Not planning to use a guide for this so it has cut down the places to hunt quite a bit. Been doing a bunch of e scouting and heading out a couple days before season...

So now that the regs are open, I'm thinking we do Javelina hunt 5095, archery. With that there are options for a OTC for any antlered deer, plus quail, and jacks. Hows that sound?
After re-watching the AZ southern Fresh Track trips, i decided i wanted to put something like that together. Being able to spend a week hunting a variety of game sounds like a blast. Wanted to see if anyone might be interested in this? I'm not sure of the dates but any help on that would be...
Just finished the last few episodes on season 8. Excellent episodes! The once again that southern AZ trip has me looking to put something like that together for this year. A week of Deer, Javelina, Quail, and Jack Rabbits sounds like an amazing time! Thanks for the content and insight. As a year...
Hey I'm in Gilbert also. I just got into Hunting late Sept last year. Let me know if you want to meet up for some Rabbit, Dove or Squirrel hunting sometime.
