Interested in feedback from folks with the 004-00 tag. I was out there last week of October in the breaks area. Saw no elk. Locals said none or not many elk in the area other than on a private place called the horse ranch. Also checked out 420 but no being able to hunt NF or WMA limited that... -

Dragging up an old post. Nothing to add on hunting, but agree that the whole BB area is beautiful. Camped there in the early 90's with a buddy, went back again in 2014 with my daughter who lives in Dallas. need to get back there again- cshire

OK thanks. Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something in my plan. Sounds like the plan was good based on the numbers, but too many people has the same plan for area 17. I'll look over the leftover license options better this evening to see if anything looks good. -
