    Pack workouts

Have any of you used a weight vest? There is a couple in the workout room at the office. Easy to adjust weight and weight is distributed very evenly. But certainly rides different than a pack and doesn’t cinch down well.

    Pack workouts

Very true. I’m doing the 50+ workouts on MTNTough so trying to find good ways to get various pack weights as I ramp up.

    Pack workouts

Question for you guys doing pack workouts, through MTNTough or whatever. Any tips for loading your pack to the desired weight and keeping the weight still and in the right spot? Are you using clothing or something as pack fill and then some heavy stuff? If I want a 40 pound pack for a workout I...

Another interesting WY public access case

It’s all in the fine print. I think the judge’s decision will be pretty easy based on what’s actually recorded in the easement. It’s what happens after that decision that could get really interesting legally as far as termination of the easement, amending it, etc based on the judge’s decision...

Hunting, Technology, and a little Reflection

Too funny. So they’re moving in to 400 instead of staying at 1000?

How far do you stay upwind of elk?

That’s just it. There’s so many variables, but like was mentioned above, humidity and cloud cover play a big role I think.

I have a pic of Bruno celebrating the end of Roy’s career all ready for the Avs fan wanting to gloat. 😁

    Any hockey fans out there?

What’s really discouraging is right now I’d take Trenin over Tarasenko. And I’m not a fan of Trenin. But Tarasinkhole has been completely absent. There’s just no compete level there. At least Trenin goes hard, and he’s much more effective than he was last year.

    Wyoming unit 71

Ditton on the 'buy some to practice'. And practice retrieving it and deploying it while on your back. Just hope it wasn't the wife that put you on your back when she found out where you're thinking of hunting.

    Kodiak BT hunt

Did it once with Homer Ocean Charters. Had an amazing time and would do it that way again if I went again.

    Who am I???

Who am I? I'm a lurker. Been around these boards for a long time, never contributed much mainly because as a Minnesotan who gets out West once a year, I didn't feel I had the experience or knowledge to be helpful. Nevertheless, I'm back again, this time to hopefully engage more fully on the...

    Yoga?

Late to this but wanted to comment. I'd like to try yoga I think. I'm as flexible as a board. But I like a cardio aspect to my workouts. For those who do yoga, does it get the heart rate up to 165-170? Or do I need to go to Pilates? That seems like a better fit for what I like, as far as a core...

    Hydration drinks?

Never tried the concord grape juice, but I'm a fan of blueberry green tea at night for the antioxidants. I drink so damn much coffee the caffine doesn't keep me up.

    Hydration drinks?

Had to reply to this due to the comment about Propel and moderate exercise. I'm a huge Propel guy. Love the stuff for around the farm when I'm sweating buckets. Thought it'd would be the bomb for a hunt. Couldn't have been more wrong. Had a long hard day and drank 2 liters with Propel and felt...
