Good deal on this Stone Glacier 6900?

I have a Sky Talus 6900, and its by far my favorite pack. SG packs just work for me. That price sounds good, if it fits you and is comfortable, I'd go for it.

    Gunsmithing at gunpoint

I lined up the front of the receivers for OAL comparison. It’s time to put a regular stock back on the 870p, I just don’t like the side folder anymore. The 870sf feels like a regular unsuppressed shotgun with the can on it, it’s the best feeling gun/Salvo combo so far.

    Gunsmithing at gunpoint

All my shotguns are choked, personally I like the ability to tune patterns. Also, that is how the Salvo suppressor attaches. I shot my first Sage Grouse with my 870 SBS years ago, makes for a really handy hunting shotgun.

    Gunsmithing at gunpoint

I’ve been searching for the right shotgun to add to my short barrel shotgun collection for easily 10 years. I have a form 1 870 Police, form 4 Tac-13, and finally a form 4 870 Special Field. The Special Field had a shorter mag tube than a regular 870, so you can cut them to around 10”...

    Jeep Talk

We did end up going down and trailering my aunt’s Jeep back home. We believe she bought it new in ‘94, it’s only got 134k on it. She just had a ton of work done before she passed, new tires and wheels, new OME springs, ARBs, and some other stuff. I’m not digging the bumper so it’s on the...

    Jeep Talk

I posted these in my Carcaine thread in the hunting rig forum. My XJ was way, way over the top, but I loved it and really miss it and where it could take me. I sold it to build a Chevelle for my mom when she got sick, so no regerts. My uncle recently passed, and if all goes to plan I will be...

Is the 300 WSM still a viable choice of caliber?

The 300wsm with a 162AH is as good as it gets. Its not just viable, its an excellent option.

    What are you currently reloading?

I have some 220hhts and some 225etips I'm going to take a look at. I come at most everything reloading from a hunting perspective, and since I've decided to only hunt with monos I'm definitely limiting myself. I might pick up a different cup and core projectile just for testing. Even if it...

    What are you currently reloading?

No clue on the pressure, 100% its too much, it's just a Savage 110, so I'm not going too nuts. The new powder was underwhelming, and the 185s confirmed as not great for this application. I think I've reached max velocity with any reasonable powder in this barrel length. I think the next thing...

    What are you currently reloading?

I'm really just getting started with it. I got 104 pieces of brass with beat to hell case mouths. I straightened them out by hand, wet tumble, anneal, run through a 308 die, anneal, run through a 338fed die, dry tumble, trim, C&D, then prime and load. On the range trip, a I shot 40 rounds of...

    AR/suppressor question

It looks like CA sells a Superlative made, CA branded AGB. I had good success with an adjustable gas key on one rifle, and i have old school Gemtech adjustable bolt carriers in a couple suppressed 5.56s, the new multiple position ones are really nice. A heavier buffer could also be a good...

    .338 Federal. Your experience?

Yeah, its not my style at all, its the one that need to be screwed to the barrel, so if thats what you're after I'm sure we can work something out. ETA: Its this style. I'm happy to pop off the irons and the scout base if you can use them, and the brake too. I already put on one of my taper...

    .338 Federal. Your experience?

Well, things escalated quickly on the 338fed front over the last few days. I procured some .277 Fury hybrid brass, 338fed dies, factory ammo, projectiles for fireforming, and the score that set it all in motion, a new and kind of oddball rifle. I told my friend at the local gun shop that I was...
