I have a cz ringneck, 20 gauge. I love everything about it such as weight, balance, etc. except the trigger. Compared to my over/under Ruger the trigger is no where near as crisp. If I was wanting a 12 gauge sxs I personally would look for something with more of a beaver tail type of grip...

I'm trying the goat route. No experience packing them yet as they are still too young, but they are willing hikers and followers. Llamas are not very affordable in my area and horses take more room than I have. No bighorns where I live so that isn't an issue, sure hoping they can help pack...
It was a great trip, lots of pretty scenery and a good hunt. You never know what the future holds but I'm planning and hoping to be able to go again, Colorado is a great place for hunting.
I also brought a shot gun along since I had a small game license and tried to rustle up some ptarmigan. Previous trips it hasn't been problem to locate them, but for whatever reason this trip I couldn't find any. I did, however jump this buck bedded in the rocks while looking for birds.
Since we still had several days left and my partner was still hunting, I had ample time to enjoy the Rockies in other ways. This lake was about 1/2 mile from camp an I discovered it was full of trout that were very willing.
