Ive got a savage 110 in 30-06. Great gun. Just dropped a cow elk at 240 yards yesterday. If you end up with a savage, pull the action bolts and put some nail polish on them. Ive had a few problems with accuracy before i started doing that. I also have a savage edge in 223 which is the old...
I go through there all the time and a year ago i had a run in with a rancher just over the montana side of that same road. I to got a hold of blm. I had a gps so i also gave them the coordinates, and they did pay him a visit. Next time that happens, provided all your info is up to date, tell...
No great pics but i filled both tags yesterday and today. Buck was a little over 12" so no wall hanger boone and crocket but will go great with betty crocker! Havnt seen any real monsters lately.
Same answer here as the rest. I hunt that area. You will be able to see just about every license plate there is. This year will propably be worse because of the bull shot last year and fwp over issueing cow tags. I may swing through there on my way home and scope things out, but i bet theres...
I have a lot of suggestions, but then dont we all. I just want to jump in and vouch for the 280 also. Very underated cartridge and i'm glad to see i'm not alone with my love affair. My go to is a browning xbolt medallion in 280. My 2 caliber choices would be 280 and 22-250.
Awsome. I miss goose hunting. I used to grind the breasts and make pepperoni sticks. For geese, where the recipe calls for water, I use apple cider. I have taken bags of honker pepperoni sticks to work and they never would believe it was goose. Always got ate quick though.
Thanks for the video. I havn't been bird hunting in about 15 years now. I grew up on a shotgun hunting pheasants and geese in east river south dakota until i was about 23 and it takes me back watching you and Peggy. Nothing like watching a great dog work. Reminds me of jumping sloughs for snows...
Ive got another reg i cant get answered straight. There is a piece of state ground over here that goes to block management during hunting season. Wtf? We pay taxes and a rancher? Mabe you folks can explain it to me. Thanks.
The pickup I use to go back and forth to work is a 1983 gmc 1500 with a 6.2 diesel. It currently has 309,000 miles. I travel about 400 miles a week with it for work.
I always use at least 2 modes of action. So if you go with dicamba, do a 24d + dicamba mix such as 3pt 24d / 1.5pt dicamba per acre. Your looking at a 6 mo or less residual with dicamba. As for grazon and other picloram (tordon) products, they are restricted use and are such for a reason (dont...
