CWD research funding included in FY23 omnibus budget bill

In 2019 I lost my brother-in-law to CJD ( the human version of CWD). He had been hunting in an area of Wyoming that had recently discovered CWD in elk and deer populations. While field dressing an elk he had cut his hand, this was 2 years prior to his death…. Needless to say transmission of...

Finally an equitable balance between resident and non resident shed hunting access.

Wow, a new law prohibiting evil nonresidents from picking up sheds on National Forest, National Wilderness, National Monuments and National Bureau of Land Management Areas……. This is going to far, especially in the State of Wyoming were Federal Tax dollars fund a major portion of the State...

    Howa Superlite

I would be careful buying a superlite rifle. This last year I purchased a Weatherby Backcountry 2.0 in 308 Winchester. A beautifully made rifle with very good accuracy when firing the first 2 shots, the thin barrel heats up fast…. A true joy to carry in the field. These superlite rifles are...

    Generosity to non-residents

Quote. As far as the United States Supreme Court jurisprudence is concerned, the State Public Trust ownership of fish and wildlife survives today although with some limits on it , such as the Commerce Clause, the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Ammendment, the Property Clause and the...

    Generosity to non-residents

You really should read the Law Journal Review published in Environmental Law……. Perhaps the most prudent thing to do would be to leave everything the way it is and has been for years……..

    Generosity to non-residents

The point of this discussion is nonresident hunting on FEDERAL LANDS, PERIOD. The midwest and east coast states have very little Federal Lands….. One should also look at Federal Support of State Budgets with Federal Funds…. Most of the Western States are heavily dependent on Federal Monies to...

    Generosity to non-residents

I am glad you understand business and economics, very few people do. A loss of just a few percentage points of revenue could result in the business generating no profits for the owners……. It is surprising how you have to pay all those fixed costs before the owner takes ANY MONEY HOME TO SUPPORT...

    Generosity to non-residents

I agree with you on ND,SD and MN thinking. If the hunting is on Federal Land tags should be shared. You were pretty quick reading all 100 and some pages of the legal brief…… I am sure when the tags are cut for Wyoming a law suit will follow and this matter wil be tested in Federal Court…...

    Generosity to non-residents

Moose have not been hunted for a decade due to declining populations. But if no nonresident licenses were granted I would have to agree with you they should have been. But, there is no species hunted in Minnesota where a nonresident can not obtain a license over the counter….. I do not know...
