Taking a cow elk on an either sex tag
I did it once on an archery tag, no regrets but it was also my first elk with a bow. If you haven't taken an elk before then you are crazy for passing up any legal elk unless it is a really good area for bulls. That being said I've taken a lot of bulls since then on a either sex tag. Utah elk hunt north and south slope info
Lots of pressure everywhere, very difficult to get away from crowds. Probably one of the worst OTC hunts in the west... One Piece of Advice
Don't wait until you draw a good tag to hunt elk and expect to be successful because it took X number of years to get the tag. Hunt every year if possible and as many days as possible.
