    Howa Mini 300blk

I have a Howa 1500 mini action 300 blackout with a 16.25” threaded barrel. It is in a Stockys ultralight carbon stock and has a Jefferson outdoors hinged floor plate. This rifle shoots 110 vmax and 110 tac-tx factory ammo into bug holes at 100 yards and is fun to shoot with subsonics. Right now...

    Scammer Scum - Beware

Almost got scammed by @Farmer20 on a want to buy add for a remington 7600. I almost sent payment, but the “venmo purchase protection” wasn't an option. I thought it was curious so I asked if he would take a phone call, he said he was deaf. He also sent me photos directly off a google search...

    Watch out for scammers

@Farmer20 just tried to scam me on a wtb add for a Remington 7600. He would not take a phone call and purchase protection was not an option for his brand new venmo account. It just so happened the pictures he sent were the same ones off a google search….

    Whitetail reflexes (traditional archery)

What arrow weight are you shooting? My experience is that once you get above 10 grains per pound you can really quiet your bow down. Further brace height tuning will find the sweet spot based on noise alone. You mught also try adjusting your tiller slightly if shooting 3 under to bring the bow...

    300 wsm Ballistics help

I would recommend shooting a large target at 400 without dialing. Shoot a group of 5 shots letting your barrel cool. Measure from point of impact to point of aim. Let ua know what you find out.

    Recurve refinishing/limb twist question

I have corrected limb twist on recurves and longbows with hot water from the kitchen sink. String the bow up, wrap a wash cloth over the area that the torsion starts, and run it under the hot sink for 5-10 minutes. Let it cool naturally. Next day, unstring the bow, if there is still torsion you...

    Trijicon Huron Experience?

I picked up one early December, I liked it enough I grabbed two more. I personally think the eye relief specs are incorrect, next to my credo 1” I cannot tell the difference. Very clear and crisp glass and the BDC is great. I tested my first one extensively, it tracks accurately for me and...

    Trijicon triangle

Assuming you are talking about the “candlestick” like on the accupoint. The triangle is well suited for fast target acquisition and closer ranges in my opinion. You can make hits with it at distance but the triangle and the post are large enough that they obscure the target significantly for...

    Howa - Super Lite - 308

@Caseknife thank you! Exactly what I needed to know. Thanks for flushing my dreams down the toilet on this one. That profile is strikingly similar to the Howa mini barrels I have!

    Howa - Super Lite - 308

Not to hi-jack the thread, but can someone measure the muzzle diameter for me around three barrel lengths. I am unsure of the barrel profile. 1. At the shoulder before the thread protector. 2. Around 18” 3. Around 16.5” Considering one for a 358win but need a minimum of .610” diameter on the...

    Alpacka Raft Mule

I went with the mule in 420d, it is tough!! I have ran it into beaver logs/ dams, dropped my skinning knife on it, drug it across gravel bars, etc. It is an awesome little boat. I think the 210 would have suited me just fine. While the additional weight of the 420d is negligible, the bulk...

    Alpacka Raft Mule

Has anyone had a “blowout” catastrophic failure? What about minor repairs? What type of abuse led to the failures?

    Alpacka Raft Mule

Ill be using it to run some shallow and occasionally glacial rivers. As well as just a river ferry. Often Ill have my mountain bike on the front etc. I cant see the .6lbs and 2” of extra bulk being the reason I don't use it.

    Alpacka Raft Mule

I am going to get a packraft for a few trips this summer. Im a small guy and have narrowed it down to the Alpacka rafts Mule. The ine thing I can’t decide on is the material weight… 210d vs 420d. Spending a decent chunk of change on this I want it to last and be durable but it also needs to be...

    Show me your square body

Went out to the barn to take a picture of the ol girl. Wish they still made them this way, ide buy a brand new one for 50k before I spent that on the stuff I see at dealers today. I dont care if they ride rough, I don't care if they break down, I don’t care if I cant hold 75 going up a grade in...

    NFA Wait Times

SC explained it to me this way. They send it certified mail via USPS to your local CLEO. Once they get confirmation of delivery by either a receipt of signature upon delivery, or a call from CLEO. They start a 7 day countdown. After that, it is transferred to their “dealer” in each state. That...
