Good advise and lessons learned. This question is not meant to hijack. How many of you backpack in and Bivy and or spike camp in MT? Do you feel "OK" or "at ease" when you do? I'm considering you have a "clean" camp with no food near your sleeping tent/shelter? It's something I'm trying to get...
I know this site like HHA and S.H. Fast Eddy as do I, but if someone wanted to try a single pin to see if they like it Tru Glo has one (Archers Choice)for around $100+. I know its not what some guys would call great quality but the price is right for introduction to single pins. I've been...
I always love it when people say they hate mechanical with one sentence and then say but "I have never used one".. I've killed elk with both. Form, tune and spin testing will usually get your fixed BH consistent enough to get the job done.
Welcome! I'm from upstate SC. Been doing the Mt thing for 17 years. Even the SW part. Not being negative at all, but just be prepared for lots and lots of people. Good luck!

For those of you who have had and suffered this...

I figure it is time to post on the newbie page. All of my western life and hunting has been in Montana. 17 years worth. I now live back in SC to be close to my parents who are in their "golden" years.
I went through all the MT newbie hunting "love" years ago. No fun. I don't mind helping...
