Ice fishing newbie
The K-Drill is a good option for when the ice gets thicker and drilling by hand is less fun.... Find a good bait shop on a popular lake, buy a few things and get some info from them. Bait shops are a good source of up-to-date info. Navionics app is good to have and not expensive. Good luck...- AG74

New Ice Auger; What should I be looking at?
The K-Drill is a great economic and space saving option, especially if you already have an 18V or higher cordless drill. I have the 6" and it works great for trout out here in Oregon.- AG74

140 Partitions over 68 gr Retumbo gets a shade over 3100, good accuracy. Rifle is a Rem 700 action w a 26" Lilja barrel, 1-8" twist, HS Precision stock. Similar loads with Accubonds and the 142 gr LRAB also. Seems like a 3100 MV is the sweet spot for this rifle, regardless of bullet.- AG74
